In the Spider-Man series, The Foreigner was a master hand-to-hand fighter and often fought against Spider-Man. Often crossing paths with Spider-Man’s partner, the Chameleon, he never had the ability to actually kill Peter Parker.
The Foreigner is a cult following and is considere a superhero in the eyes of fans. He has also appeared in the “Catch-22” miniseries, based on the Joseph Heller novel of the same name.
While the Foreigner may be the most popular villain in the comics, his role in the Kraven the Hunter movie isn’t as well known. Though his appearance is confirm, his exact role is still unknown.
Matt Holloway
Kraven the Hunter, the Spider-Man villain from the Stan Lee comics, is be feature in a live-action movie in 2023. The film will feature Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the titular character, who has previously starred in Kick-Ass, Quicksilver, and the MCU’s Spider-Man.
As the film is set in Sony’s cinematic universe of Marvel characters, there are rumors that Tom Holland may appear in it as well. However, Disney and Sony have not yet locked down production timelines.
Sony and Sony Pictures have tapped seasoned comic book screenwriters for the film. Matt Holloway and Art Marcum worked together on the script for the Transformers: The Last Knight movie, as well as on the Masters of the Universe reboot. They also contributed to Iron Man in 2008.
