Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom: Everything You Need to Know About the Upcoming DC Comics Movie

‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ is an upcoming DC Comics movie that has been developing for several years. The story revolves around Aquaman (Jason Momoa) attempting to rescue the kingdom of Atlantis and a surprisingly unexpected ally who might be just what he needs to do so.

Jason Momoa to reprise his role as Aquaman

During the production of the first Aquaman film, Jason Momoa pitched a sequel to the studio. He said that the sequel would expand the world of Aquaman.

James Wan, who wrote and direct the original, has been task with bringing the sequel to life. Wan said that the sequel would not only add to the world of Aquaman but also show off the character’s abilities.

In addition to Momoa, the film will feature Amber Heard and Patrick Wilson. Amber will reprise her role as Mera, the water-bending Atlantian princess. Patrick Wilson will reprise his role as Orm Marius, Aquaman’s half-brother.

The film’s production took place in the United States, Hawaii, and the United Kingdom. The filming for the movie ended in January 2022. The Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom movie is expect to be release in 2023.

The original Aquaman earned more than a billion dollars worldwide. It was also the highest-grossing DC Comics movie to date.

The new costume is more comic-faithful than the old one, with a silver-colored helmet and a metallic silver color. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will reprise the role of Black Manta in the sequel.

The new costume is not only changing in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Dolph Lundgren will reprise his role as Mera’s father. The actor confirmed that he finished shooting the film, which will hit theaters on December 20, 2022.

Amber Heard is also return as Aquaman, though she has been cut considerably from the movie’s screen time. She also quit the role of Gellert Grindelwald. She is rumore to be pregnant, though the DC Extend Universe has not confirmed this.

The Lost Kingdom has also had some controversy. Amber Heard’s performance was a major point of contention, as many fans wanted to see her leave. Dolph Lundgren’s character, King Nereus, is not expect to be in the film.

The tone is more mature than in 2018’s

Despite a long and bumpy road, the DC Extended Universe has managed to pull out a few triumphs in the past few years. One of the most memorable is Aquaman, which starred Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, the ocean-dwelling Atlantean king. A sequel to the original is currently in production and will hit the big screen in 2023. As with all things superhero related, the DCEU has its share of highs and lows. This is especially true after the duds of the past, such as Justice League, Y: The Last Man, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

A few notable mentions include Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Feige, Zack Snyder, and David Goyer, all of whom have a stake in the DCEU’s success. While it may not be the most prolific or enduring franchise, it does boast a strong cast of actors and a compelling storyline. As such, it’s no wonder that Aquaman has managed to snag the lion’s share of the DCEU’s cash cow.
